The provincial administration of Alicante has invited bidders to submit to be awarded the contract to provide air support for the province to cover fire detection and fighting duties during the summer.
This year, the period of cover has been extended to six month, rather than the four months of 2012, to begin on the 15th of April.
The contract, valued at a maximum of 773,850 euro, has seen an increase of over a quarter of a million, due to the extension of the service which will operate through to October.
The bidding process is open until the 10th of March for providing this vital role in supporting the province covering rescue and support in fighting fires.
