The National Police are asking for assistance in locating a 53 year old man wanted in connection with a shooting incident in Plasencia, a market city in the province of Cáceres, Extremadura, Western Spain.
Rafael Robles García is described as 53 years of age, 170 centimetres tall, thick set, with a greying, long goatee beard, although he may now be clean shaven. He normally wears glasses, but not always.
He was last seen wearing a camouflage duffle coat and hat described as being of a “Scottish” type of cloth, so likely to be tartan.
It is believed that the man shot a young woman and her baby last Wednesday in a garage in the town of Plasencia, after the man had threatened the victim with the weapon, resulting in a disagreement, with the woman managing to flee with the child when the man wasn´t looking. Realising she was escaping, it is believed that the man then shot at the woman.
Rafael Robles García has already faced the judicial system for the intentional killing of another victim in 2001 and is now wanted for arrest in connection with a crime of attempted murder, illegal detention and threats.
Rafael Robles García is believed to be carrying weapons and if seen, the police should be contacted immediately, either by contacting any local law enforcement officer, or by emailing the Plasencia police direct on firstname.lastname@example.org or by telephoning them on 927 42 62 54 or 927 41 00 46.
