As part of their third anniversary celebrations, the CDM sports centre on the Orihuela Costa has been holding a variety of event this week, and on Friday, the grounds were turned into something unique for the coast, a purpose built skate park.

Councillor for the coast, Martina Scheurer, told The Leader that she attended the event with some interest, saying, “I have paid especial attention to the skating as I would like to install a small skating area on the Orihuela Costa”.

Recognising the importance of the younger generation, Scheurer continued, “Something has to be done as well for our youngsters, not only for the very small ones, but the elder ones as well”.
