A Guardia Civil radar speed trap caught a motorcyclist speeding this week, as the 29 year old rider was rushing along the road in the municipality of Narón.
The incident occurred on Wednesday when the speed trap was set up on the AP-9 motorway as it runs through the city, when the biker shot past the officers conducting the check on the 90 kilometres per hour restricted section, clocking up an extremely dangerous 188 kilometres per hour.
The area is said to have been near to industrial units and one of the main areas where traffic flow can be particularly dense at certain times of day.
The officers traced the rider, a resident of Ferrol, arrested him for a serious crime against road safety by means of reckless driving.
