The town hall of Pilar de la Horadada has created a canine recreation area, where animals can run and enjoy their playtime safely.
The town´s Mayor, José Fidel Ros, inaugurated the park at the weekend, whilst explaining the difficulties in satisfying the needs of dog owners and the council’s commitment to do all they can to help the human companions look after their extended family members.
However, the mayor also appealed to the humans who allow their animals to use the facilities of their need to keep the site clean, and stated that “our streets are our home and pet owners have a duty to keep it in top condition and always pick up after their dogs”.
Attendees saw firsthand the tranquillity of the enclosed space, with a 2,650 square metre fenced off plot, with large stones, pipes and other attractions to keep the dogs occupied.
