Just watched Toy Story 3
I had heard a number of people say that they cried. I am now happy to confirm that I am part of that club!!!
The film didn´t disappoint, even though it was a little repetitive with its usual “escape to victory” and race against time in a computer game kind of fashion, but it also had that touch of humanity that pulls at the heart strings. You know, as Andy turns 17, exactly what he is feeling, as we too have grown up with Woody, Buzz and the gang, and now it´s time to move on.
Or is it? Not spoiling it, the story could well continue. Although Andy and the gang may have parted ways, we actually don´t have to. For the nature of “toys” is that they are everlasting, always there for us and never let us down.
So, we wipe away the tears, feel strong that we are growing, but know that our inner childhood is still there, still fighting and still ready to live another day and another Toy Story!
